Get Found Through AI Search

A simple idea for mortgage broker to get found more often
The world of search has changed a lot since the days of Ask Jeeves.
People are no longer just typing a few words into Google. They are increasingly asking full questions - and using AI tools such as ChatGPT to find the answers.
So here’s a simple idea for your website:
Create a “Your Questions Answered” page
Instead of constantly writing blogs or social media posts, create one useful page answering the questions your clients actually ask you.
Not generic FAQs. Genuine ones.
Real questions. Real answers. Your expertise.
Start with the questions you hear every day.
Talk to yourself, your team and anyone who regularly speaks to clients.
What do people repeatedly ask?
For example:
Can I get a mortgage if I’m recently self-employed?
How much can I borrow?
Can I get a mortgage with bad credit?
How much deposit do I need?
How long does a mortgage take?
Then answer them simply and in your own words.
For example:
Q: Can I get a mortgage if I’m self-employed?
A: Yes. We regularly help self-employed applicants, including company directors and those who have been trading for less than three years. Lenders assess self-employed income differently, so your circumstances will determine which options may be available.
The important thing is to answer the questions in the way you would when you speak.
Then make your key pages work harder
Your main Your Questions Answered page can become your hub.
But you can also include a few relevant questions on other pages.
For example, your Buy to Let page could answer:
Can I get a BTL mortgage as a first-time landlord?
Can I use a limited company?
How much deposit do I need?
How many properties can I have?
This gives visitors useful information where they need it, rather than making them search your website for answers.
You don't need to create lots of questions
Start with say 10 to 15 good questions on the page.
Add to it over time. Adapt over time.
The aim isn't to become a content machine. It's to make your expertise easier to find.
And what about AI search?
Nobody can guarantee that Google or an AI tool will recommend your business.
But if potential clients are asking questions about mortgages, it makes sense to give search engines and AI systems useful, specific and authoritative answers to those questions.
And there is another benefit.
A good Questions Answered page can demonstrate your knowledge, deal with concerns before someone contacts you and give potential clients another reason to choose you.
It builds trust.
Keep it simple:
Find the questions. Answer them well. Put them somewhere people can find them. Keep adding to them.
Your expertise is already there.
You just need to make it discoverable.
